ABOUT BEN SHEEHY

Ben Sheehy is a dynamic, unpredictable performer and composer based in South East Queensland. Possessing a unique and powerful voice inspired by classic rock of the 60s/70s, Ben also draws from folk music to create a contemporary sound that is distinctive, raw and enigmatic. Having toured America and also placing as a finalist in Youth Rock during his younger years, Ben returned to the stage in 2023 for Australian Idol where he placed as a semi-finalist. Bringing together influences from Georgy Ligeti to Jeff Buckley, Ben Sheehy is a must-see performer.

In addition to his unique vocal ability, Ben’s musical experience goes well beyond the stage. Ben is approaching the end of a Bachelor of Music at the prestigious Sydney Conservatorium of Music, completing his holistic understanding of music. Ben's musical understanding is well versed and not only gifted in Avant-Garde classical music, but additionally film and television scoring. Ben's highly eclectic and eccentric experience lends for exciting and emotionally resonant music.
